Terms of Service

MyPetTag (the "Service") is operated by decodr.tech (VAT FR14798065108), 200 rue de la Croix Nivert, 75015 Paris, France ("we", "us", "MyPetTag"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The service

MyPetTag provides QR keys and public "found" pages to help return lost pets. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you publish and for keeping your contact details up to date.

Pricing & use

MyPetTag is free for personal use, for your own pets.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for your own pets. Do not publish unlawful content or other people's personal data without their consent.

Printing & QR quality

You print your own tag (e.g. via MakerWorld). You are solely responsible for the print quality and legibility of the QR code. MyPetTag provides no warranty that a self-printed tag will scan correctly. In particular, we cannot be held responsible if the QR code is unreadable, corrupted, poorly printed, too small, damaged, worn out or unscannable for any reason. Always test that your tag scans before relying on it, and reprint it if its condition degrades.

Availability

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for a pet not being recovered, nor for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the service.

Your account

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion and without notice, if we believe it breaches these Terms, the law, or the rights of others.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You confirm that the pets and contact details you publish are your own, or that you are authorised to publish them.

Public display is your choice

The Service lets you publish contact information on a public page that anyone scanning the tag can view. You decide which fields are shown and you enable them explicitly. You acknowledge and accept the risks of making this information public, and you are solely responsible for what you choose to display. You can take the page offline or delete it at any time.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (e.g. Google sign-in, hosting providers, email delivery, print platforms such as MakerWorld). We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, performance, acts or omissions, nor for any damage resulting from their use.

Intellectual property

The MyPetTag name, logo, design and software are our property and are protected by applicable law. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative services from them without our written permission. You retain ownership of the content you submit (pet details, photos, contact info) and grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and display it solely to operate the Service.

Changes & interruption of the service

We may modify, suspend, limit or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability. We do not guarantee that the Service, the keys, or the public pages will remain available indefinitely.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, accuracy, or that a pet will be recovered. You use the Service at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyPetTag and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, loss of a pet, or harm of any kind arising from or related to the use of (or inability to use) the Service, a tag, a QR code or a public page. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case the above applies to the fullest extent permitted.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyPetTag and its operator from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. outages, network or hosting failures, cyber-attacks, natural events, acts of authorities).

Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
