Why I built this
Twenty years ago I lost my dog. By the time someone found him it was too late. The vet couldn't save him, and we never got to say goodbye. Whoever found him had no quick way to reach us in time. No pet should be lost for the want of a simple way home.

How does a MyPetTag QR tag work?

Is MyPetTag free?
Yes. Creating an account, adding your pet and getting your QR key is free. You print the tag yourself from free 3D models on MakerWorld.
Do I need an app to scan the tag?
No. The QR code opens in any phone camera or browser. The finder needs nothing installed.
What information is shown when someone scans the tag?
Only what you choose: pet name, your name, phone or email. You control privacy and can take the page offline anytime. It is GDPR-friendly.
Can the person who finds my pet contact me?
Yes. They can call you, share their exact location by SMS or email, or leave a message from the page, you are notified instantly by email.
